A bit of history
The Hotel Bellevue was founded in 1894 and was conceived with the idea of hosting sophisticated guests, and lovers of the mountain atmosphere. There are many historical records of personalities who have chosen and appreciated the quality of Cortina and specifically the Hotel. In fact, many famous guests have resided in the Hotel, starting with Ernest Hemingway who in 1923 here wrote the autobiography “Out of Season” a new narrative experiment. Other guests who have lodged at the Hotel Bellevue include the Savoia family, Edda Ciano, Italo Balbo, King Faruk, Frank Sinatra, was inspired by Rita Levi Montalcini’s charisma, and the Hotel Bellevue also had the honour of hosting Margheria Hack.
